iWebTranslator new version available

There is a new version of iWebTranslator available:

Improvements:
You can now define a custom charset-mapping. This is useful if you have
a charset not directly supported by the default mapping. eg. cyrillic or danish characters.
There is also a graphical interface available (iWebTranslatorGUI).

Website:
I have created a website for iWebTranslator. The website is not yet finished but should be already useable at the moment. http://public.schönbächler.com/iWebTranslator

Feel free to post your experiences with this new versions.

Hello Stefan, good work. I have tried your GUI version, and it didn't fix the problems with photo galleries of iWeb. The pictures don't show up. Slideshows are not functional either.

Stefan, I've tried your last version with russian translation and it worked quite well. However, in one instance it did not convert file name partially, i.e:

Baby:~/Sites/SVYATITSKIY.NAME site/website/booksformiko/SVYATITSKIY_Online_Connection/Knigi_dlya_Mishi_i_Koli/Entries/2007/11 andy$ ls
4_R_Kipling_-_Kniga_Dzhungley_Bratyya_Maugli._files
4_R_Kipling_-_Kniga_Dzhungley_Bratyya_Maugli_.html
4_R_Kipling_-_Kniga_Dzhungley_Bratyya_Maugli_.xml
4_R_Kipling_-_Kniga_Dzhungley_Okhota_Kaa._files
4_R_Kipling_-_Kniga_Dzhungley_Okhota_Kaa_.html
4_R_Kipling_-_Kniga_Dzhungley_Okhota_Kaa_.xml
6_R_Kipling_-_Kniga_Dzhungley._????????,_????????!_files
6_R_Kipling_-_Kniga_Dzhungley_Tigr_tigr_.html
6_R_Kipling_-_Kniga_Dzhungley_Tigr_tigr_.xml
7_R_Kipling_-_Kniga_Dzhungley_Kak_strakh_prishel_v_dzhungli._files
7_R_Kipling_-_Kniga_Dzhungley_Kak_strakh_prishel_v_dzhungli_.html
7_R_Kipling_-_Kniga_Dzhungley_Kak_strakh_prishel_v_dzhungli_.xml

You can see that most of the file names has been converted properly except "6_R_Kipling_-_Kniga_Dzhungley._????????,_????????!_files" where question marks are actually orginal cyrillic letters. Links in the other files are consistent with this folder name.

If you could fix that would be terrific!

Hi andrey,
I need to know the original name of the directory to investigate the issue.

Hallo Stefan,
Haven't tried this with Swedish names yet, but it sure worked with some tricky gaelic ones! Kudos and thanks!
Heres the website, where the name Cillian Ó Briain spelled trouble:

Still working great. One thing with the interface thoug: The "New" command is greyed out, so if you're in for several sessions with your files, you have to restart the application. No big deal though.

Thanks, Stefan. Seems to suit perfectly well to solve my iWeb problem.

Hi Stefan!
I have tried your translator with mapping_default.txt file and it fixed my problems with the swedish letter å, ä and ö. Thank you for your help and support.

Hello Stefan, very good idea!
I came across to your iwebtranslator when I found than the iWeb uses the headers of pages to name the files and in Spanish there are plenty of accents :(

Thank you very much and Keep the good work!
